Shamanic Breathwork Journeys with Claire
What is Conscious Connected Breathing? Conscious connected breathing (CCB) is a breath that is connected. So, there is no space between the in and out breath. As we breathe in this connected, circular, way, we move through the layers of the four bodies, the densest being the first layer (physical body) followed by the emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. We also start to release the monkey mind and allow the natural rhythm of the being to emerge.
There can often be a strong emotional or physiological release. It’s a bit like unblocking a drain, we need to release any stuck emotions in order to allow the flow of the being to return!
You would normally lie down with an eye mask on however if you prefer to remain seated that is fine too. One of the great things about CCB is that you don’t have to do anything, except relax and keep breathing! This is not a talking therapy. You don’t need to work out what to fix or how to heal anything, the breath will do it for you. You don’t even need to understand it. You just need to keep breathing, trust and surrender.
Each of the journeys that I facilitate are around 75 minutes long, and each session is two hours long.

Why do I call it ‘Shamanic Breathwork Journey’? I call my journey’s ‘Shamanic Breathwork Journey’ as I work together with my spirit allies to facilitate a shamanic healing ceremonial space. Sound plays an important role in the journeys that I facilitate and each journey is curated with a specific playlist supporting the journey through the four layers of the body. I work with the shamanic drum and rattle throughout the journey, as well as use my voice. Learn more about Conscious Connected Breathing here.
Where do I hold these journeys? These journeys are in person. Currently they are held at Eat Surf Yoga in Glencairn as well as outdoors on private indigenous land in Noordhoek.
The sessions in Glencairn are held on the first Saturday of the month at 5pm to 7pm. The next dates are 4 February, 4 March, 1 April and 6 May. The sessions in Noordhoek are held more spontaneously as and when the weather and the wind allow!
If you would like to be added to the WhatsApp broadcast group so that you can be kept up to date with upcoming sessions, please send me your mobile number here. (This is an admin only group, so you won’t be bombarded with messages.)
